Why We Built This Site
Minnesota makes a good deal of warrant information public, but finding the piece you need is the hard part. A warrant does not live in one place. The district court sets the charge and any bail; the sheriff's office serves the warrant and can say whether it is still outstanding; Court Administration holds the case record that controls recall. City police departments write the reports that start many of those cases, and the sheriff's Records Division keeps the records for several of them.
Minnesota adds a wrinkle that surprises people. There is no public warrant portal that covers the whole state. The criminal-justice network under Minn. Stat. 299C.115 is closed to the public, so the working channels are the county active-warrant feed, Minnesota Court Records Online, and a phone call to the issuing court. Check one source, find nothing, and it is easy to assume you are clear when you are not. We collect the details for each office so a reader can start in the right place.
What You Will Find Here
- Warrant checks: how to run a warrant search by name, city, or case number across the county feed and the court system
- Outstanding records: what an active warrant means and how the published county list is maintained
- Missed court dates: how bench warrants arise, which judge issues them, and how a recall works
- Charge-based process: what an arrest warrant contains and how service happens in this county
- Traffic and city cases: where a traffic warrant or a municipal court warrant is actually filed
- Published lists: what the county most wanted feed does and does not show
- City details: how Mankato, Eagle Lake, Lake Crystal, Mapleton, and Madison Lake route a citation to the court
What We Cannot Do
This is a private reference site. We have no connection to any Minnesota court, sheriff's office, or state agency, and there are real limits on what we can help with:
- We cannot run an official warrant check or confirm whether a warrant exists for anyone
- We cannot recall, quash, remove, or clear a warrant in any system
- We cannot post bond or accept any payment toward a warrant
- We cannot schedule a court date, a surrender, or a records appointment
- We cannot give legal advice or apply a warrant's terms to a specific situation
- We cannot promise that every phone number, fee, or listing on this site is current
Only the issuing court or the sheriff's office can confirm that a warrant exists and whether it has been recalled or cleared. We can point you to the right counter, but the answer has to come from them.
Search Partners
Search boxes on some pages are run by outside providers. Those companies set their own prices and operate their own services, and they are not official warrant checks. When a tool leads to a paid signup, we may earn a referral fee, which helps keep this site free to use. We do not control what a partner charges or what its results contain.
